Little things

Last week was one of my worst weeks in college so far. It was our last week to work on our AIESEC tasks, and my to-do list has never been so long. I was biting off more than I could chew. I got so pissed off because my laundry was delayed, and I had to wear pambahay for four straight days. I didn't get enough sleep at all. Not even on the weekends.

Last Wednesday, I had to stay up until 3 am of Thursday to finish Task 2. I missed my first class that day - lucky for me, the prof wasn't around. My second class was Psych, and I was already running late. I still passed by 7Eleven to buy a cup of French Vanilla coffee, though. I just needed something to keep me alive. I  remember exactly the scene when I entered the classroom. I was in jersey shorts, slippers, and a fading purple shirt. With a cup of coffee in my hand, a dead brain, and some boosted self-confidence, I opened the door, and to my surprise, Sir Eric wasn't there yet. My classmates went "Hi Caaaaaaai!" and Ia even said "Pambahay ka ngayon ah!" I was one lucky duck that day, because other than the prof not arriving for my first class, Sir Eric decided to start the class at 12. I was five-freakin'-minutes early for class.

Even though I wasn't functioning properly that day, and I wanted to give up on everything already, God gave me signs - little things, for me to continue holding on. For that, I am extremely grateful.

I don't know if my batchmates have also noticed this, but our batch motto, "Stand firm in the faith" makes more sense as our days are being counted.
