Color Personality

I have always had  a keen interest in colors. My mom and aunt would tell me I had a special skill or talent in picking color combinations when I was younger. When it comes to the arrangement of crayons, colored pens, markers, I have always been OC. They just have to be in order. *Looks at you straight in the eye without blinking, eyebrows slightly lowered* They just have to.

In connection to this, I was on the jeep when I had this light bulb moment and I remembered Kristi telling me about how her mom associated her personality with the color pink (which isn't close to being her favorite color, mind you. It's okay, Kristi). So, I asked people via text to tell me which color came to mind when they thought about me. Here are the results:

Four people said White.
Three people said Yellow.
Four people said Green.
Two people said Peach.
Nine people said Pink.
One person said Red Orange.
Three people said Brown.
Six people said Blue.
Two people said Red.
Four people said Purple.
One person said Light Blue.
Two people said Hot Pink.
One person said Indigo.

Well, majority said Pink, so this is what it means:

The color pink usually serves two purposes.  It can be used to show childish innocence, or a characters child-like personality. A pink person very much wants to remain a child.  She gets pleasure out of very simple, and 'childish' things.  Even so, she also would like to grow up and become an adult woman… but she's also afraid of losing her childhood innocence.  It can also be used to show a more flirtatious personality (Alam na! Hahahaha).  Pink is normally a color associated with girls and femininity.
Pink is considered a color of good health and life - we speak of people being "in the pink" or the "freshness" of a newborn babe.
Lastly, pink is associated with sexuality, and purity.  That is, a girl who is a virgin in heart and body. Pink is symbolic of pure love, for example.  It is also the color used for sexual advertisements and such, to indicate the purity of the girls.

I think it does sound like me, but if you ask me personally, I'd say I'm an Indigo person. I really like the color, and I did a little research on it just now:

The indigo colour meaning linked to personality explains the character traits most associated with people who have indigo as a favourite colour.
So if you have a indigo colour personality you have an open, flexible and understanding nature. You are highly intuitive and can step into the shoes of others easily. Because of this you are sought after as a trusted friend and confidant. People see you as wise, knowledgeable and intelligent.
You are very sensitive and psychic and sense strongly the moods and emotions of others. Although you have friends and family around you, you sometimes prefer times of solitude. You like time and space to think, meditate and contemplate on all of life's mysteries. You are highly spiritual and like to live your life balancing your mind, body and soul.
If you have indigo as a favourite colour you are likely to have many friends and acquaintances that you interact with well but they seldom understand the real you.
On the downside of a indigo colour personality you can have a tendency to have low moods, which can lead to depression.
With indigo as a favourite colour you can be susceptible to addictions.

I'm not sure if I have different personalities or people just perceive who I am in different ways. I don't know, but I really believe color could tell a lot about people. How about you? What's your color? :)

  1. Interesting! Makes me wanna ask people what color reminds them of me.. :P It's true that how others perceive us and how we perceive ourselves, don't always match! Just like it's explained using a Johari window right? :)

  2. We'll always have out blind and hidden windows. ;)
