My first blog giveaway (Fixed the mechanics)

I promised on Twitter long ago that I would be having a blog giveaway sometime. Well, I think it's the perfect time for one. For my first ever blog giveaway, I am giving out a dreamcatcher made by yours truly. *wink*

I just found out through my Tita that something was wrong with the commenting system of my blog. So instead of leaving a comment, just PM me on Facebook or tweet me at @carinamorente. You may also send me an email at carina.morente15@yahoo.com! So if you tried commenting already, you might as well contact me again.
If you share this link on Twitter/Facebook (http://carinamorente.blogspot.com/2012/01/my-first-blog-giveaway-feel-free-to.html), I will write your name twice for a doubled chance to win! ;) (Inform me if you do so!)
I am automatically including those who commented on my Facebook account, requesting for one. :)

Please take note that only those who live in the Philippines are allowed to join (sorry readers from the other side of the world!). I will be taking note of all the participants and choose a winner using the True Number Generator from http://www.random.org/. If you are outside of Quezon City, I will look for a way to send it to you, but don't worry because I will pay for everything. :) Comments after 11:59 pm on Friday (February 3) will not be counted. The winner of this giveaway will be announced on Saturday, February 4.

Here are some photos I took just now:

Come on, I know you want this baby. ;)

Goodbye, nightmares!

Yesternight, I was at the highs of  my stress-driven self because of the Comm 3 Interview Plan which my partner and I had to do all over again and because I haven't started reading on anything for our Art Stud 2 midterms yet. I fell asleep at least an hour after I went to bed and shut my peepers, which happens every time I get too stressed out and inevitably reflect on how much of a failure I am.

On the bright side, I woke up to Ma'am Eloi's announcement that our midterms be moved on Thursday. I literally whispered "Yes!" aloud (yeah, whisper aloud) and did the clenched fist thing.

Anyway, this afternoon, my mom reminded me to give Tito Law a thank you present for being my guest for the interview. I had no idea what to give him at first, but my mom told me it should be handmade and suggested I give him a dream catcher. (I hope he doesn't read this post yet! It's supposed to be surprise but you all know how impatient I am, right?)

So I went to National Bookstore to buy some of the materials I didn't have and started doing the frame at 7Eleven. There, a stranger approached me in amazement and we had this conversation:
Stranger: Is that a dream catcher?
Me: Yeah.
Stranger: Woah. Do you, like, sell those?
Me: No. Well, not yet.
Stranger: Is it your first time to make one?
Me: Probably third.
Stranger: You should sell those, you know.
Me: I'll think about it.
Dear stranger, whoever you are, I would like you to know you just made my day.

Here's the dreamcatcher I made:

Untitled post #124230850

Sometimes, it's a good thing when I get bored, because I start doing something awesome. Euw, I think the word awesome is overused already, but there's no other word I could think of as of now, so let it be. Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

What am I talking about? Well, scroll down, my dear friend. Everything you are about to see here is a product of sheer boredom. Therefore, I conclude I should be bored more often.

I played around with manual mode.

My first attempt at doing hearts: I didn't know it would turn out upside-down. I guess common sense isn't so common after all. *insert troll face here*

This one's my favorite!

Tonight was inexplicably beautiful. Except for the part where I haven't talked so much tonight. This dorm is a lonely place for me on weekends. But then again, we all need a little solitude sometimes.
I'm the type who would cry (inside, haha) during really beautiful scenes and moments. You know, those moments you want to just last a little longer. Yes, I'm talking about those moments. Memories, if that's what you prefer calling them.

Well, yesterday (or the other day, or when that was), I blogged about AIESEC Week's Spring Festival. Because I really love the song from Tangled + the moment when they played it while lighting up and letting go of wish lanterns, I made a video of it.

I hope you like it, even if Youtube totally ruined the quality! :)

AIESEC Week 2012: Spring Festival

I was only able to attend three out of five (or more) events for AIESEC Week this year, and tonight was my favorite. I was thinking of just staying in the dorm tonight to just chill or whatsoever, but it's a good thing I thought twice and attended the Spring Festival event instead. I wouldn't have missed it for good ol' sleep.

Babaylan performed tonight.

My favorite part tonight was the time when they played the song from Tangled while everyone let go of their lanterns all together. It was such a beautiful moment. :)

Such a beautiful day for me. I hope I aced my Anthro exam as well.
Yesterday in Psych, we discussed about stress. It may seem coincidental to you, but I don't believe in coincidence.

These past days, I've been 97% stressed out all the time. I'm more prone-stressed than anyone else I know. I try to remind myself all the time to relax, or "it's just a test", or "there is time for everything" - but it never works for me. This is really serious because my breakdowns are uncontrollable anymore. It's like everything I deal with are stressors and I feel really pressured by academics right now.

I don't really know if it's just me who's like this, but I really hope so. I hope you all are happy with your lives right now.

I think I got the meme fever.

Happy birthday, the Pahina!

Last Monday night, we held the smallest party ever for Page. Ate Inah, Justin and I bought her 2 small cakes and balloons and placed them on the table where we usually sit at Sandbox.

This one's from me and ate Inah.

This pink one's from Justin.

Page loves pink, isn't it obvious?

I am such a sucker for cute things. And I think it's a disease.
